Britain’s Got Talent star Auzzy Blood, who caused a stir this week, is completely unrecognisable when he’s not on stage.
The annual talent show returned to the screen last Saturday (February 22) and Auzzy Blood, a professional sword swallower, had judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli recoiling in their seats.
After setting the tone with an eerie entrance to dramatic music, the hopeful – real name Austin Punton – unveiled his painted face in the style of what one might call a gothic clown, baring his teeth to greet the panel with a sinister smile.
But his looks off stage couldn’t be more different.
On social media, the star looks far from scary and seems to have a sweet relationship with his partner and ‘love of his life’, Dottie Dellamorte, who features regularly on his page.

The artist has trademark black and white blonde hair, and underneath the makeup lies a sweet face with kind eyes.

The three-time Guinness World Record holder shocked judges on BGT with body manipulation and several graphic acts.
The bold performance has sparked backlash from viewers, and media watchdog Ofcom said it has received a total of 771 complaints
A spokeswoman for Ofcom said: ‘The vast majority of complaints were about Auzzy Blood’s routine. Around 90 of the complainants also complained about nudity in Akira Ohashi’s routine’.

Despite looking totally horrified by the act, Blood was voted through to the next stage of the competition, with Simon, 65, describing the performance as ‘one of my favourite acts of the day’.
‘No one’s ever seen this before. This was one of my favourite acts of the day, genuinely,’ added Simon, kicking off the first of four yeses.
‘For me, it was horrifically brilliant,’ said Amanda, still trembling.
‘I am gonna say yes because I’m terrified to say no,’ she joked.

Taking to X in a state of bewilderment after what they had just seen, viewers came to the consensus that BGT has never been more gross.
User superTV247 wrote: ‘I physically convulsed at this. Singlehandedly the worst thing and simultaneously the most impressive thing I have ever seen on this show’.
Agreeing, LauraMargaret_X said: ‘Auzzy Blood probably the most disturbing thing I’ve seen! what makes someone think I’m going to try and shove a metal hook up my nose’.
